  • How much is the deposit?
  • What specifically is included in that cost?
  • What happens if I cancel?
  • Do you use a contract? (If the answer is "No," RUN!)
  • Are there any EXTRA fees?
  • Do you carry liability insurance?
Then ask these specific questions below for each vendor category. Don't get taken! Make sure you get clear, specific answers to your questions. If you aren't sure what something means, ask them to clarify. Keep asking questions until you completely understand.

How much is the deposit?

Is there a dance floor and is it included in the price?

How many hours will we have the location for? Is overtime available and if so how much?

Will there be another party before, during or after ours? How much time long time will we have to set up and decorate?

Can we decorate and move things around or do they have to stay where they are?

Are all the tables, chair, plates, glasses, etc. included or do we have to rent them separately?

Do you do the catering? Can we bring in an outsider caterer?
